Community Service Event
BELL Garden is a hands-on garden lab and kitchen classroom for the entire community. Students and community residents grow, harvest, and prepare meals with the plants they grow in the garden. Fruits and vegetables are then made available to community residents who may not have access to healthy food options. These activities also promote physical activity, healthy eating, environmental stewardship, and multi-cultural connections for all generations.
Activities: Raking, hoeing, shoveling, weeding, carrying objects, whatever needs to be done to keep the garden in order.

What to wear: Please dress appropriately for doing gardening activities (flip flops are probably not a good idea!). There isn’t much shade so it would be smart to bring a hat or wear sunblock. The BELL Garden has plenty of tools and gloves to share with volunteers but drinking water is not available on site so please make sure to bring your own!
Please register by September 5th so we can have an idea of attendance.
Contact: Clay Chapman at [email protected] with questions.
