Volunteer Opportunity with The Store!!

Please join your fellow ACHEMT colleagues Saturday, August 29 from 11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. for a unique volunteering opportunity!

The Store is a local non-profit focused on providing food assistance to individuals experiencing food insecurity in Middle Tennessee.

The organization operates a grocery store model allowing customers to choose the food that best meets their nutritional needs and personal preferences. This choice-based model reduces waste, ensures satisfaction, and upholds the dignity of those served. More information can be found on their website: https://thestore.org.

This opportunity mainly involves assisting customers at checkout while The Store is open for shopping. Volunteer roles include working as a bagger, at the register, counter, and as a door greeter.

       2009 12th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37204

• ​Parking
  Grocery Volunteers: Please do not park in the parking lot in front of The Store​ or in our overflow lot next door. ​Parking spaces are limited and are therefore reserved for customers during our open shopping hours. Volunteers may utilize the free street parking located along 12th Ave. South and surrounding side streets. If you need specific parking accommodations, please email [email protected] ahead of your shift to discuss further.
  BUS ROUTE INFO: The #17 bus drops off at 12th and Acklen (coming "from Downtown") and 12th and Douglas (going "to Downtown") - both locations are very close to The Store.
• Where to go upon arrival
  Volunteers will enter through the front door of The Store. Please check in with a staff member at the front desk and they will direct you from there.
